Time - It Do Fly By

How to catch everyone up on seven (and then some) months of happenings in our home...? I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say, so much has happened and changed!

Our little C is running around the house - yes, running! She is just as busy as any 1 1/2 year old can possibly be. Her favorite pastimes are Elmo, watching Signing Time videos and learning new words. Its SPONGE time in our house - she just soaks up everything we do and say. She stands in the mirror in the bathroom while I'm putting on my lotion and makeup and imitates me. She's already outgrown lots of her 18 month clothes and I'll be getting out the 24 month clothes very soon.

My A-Man has become such a big boy! He started preschool last September and loves every minute of it. He has friends and they come over for playdates. He has "school clothes" and his own backpack. He brings home school papers and forms for me to fill out and return. This Tuesday, he will be the "Special Helper" for the day - a very big responsibility and privelege. What has amazed me the most, is that he is learning to read. He told me the other day that the word "yes" was not the word "yellow" (when we looked at it) because it did not end with the letter "o". He is playing soccer this spring - and is the best left-footed kicker I've ever seen. He begs me to let him help me cook dinner because he loves to pour ingredients into a bowl and then stir them up. His specialty - pancakes and scrambled eggs!

Our poor Ziggy cat is getting beyond his "long-in-the-tooth" days as his front fangs are almost gone. One fell out last summer and the other one is very loose. We really don't know just how old he is, but we guess he's about 10 or so. How long do pampered tom cats live...?

We have a new member of the family as of January - little V came to be our niece and just shower all her cuteness all over us. She was 8 lbs, 10 ozs at birth and very healthy. We're so blessed to have her here so we can know and love her.

What I'm grateful for:
My beautiful children and terrific husband
A dog who still meets me at the door with a wagging tail
That I have a door and a car to drive up to it
